Spotted: Blair’s Style from Gossip Girl, Eps.The Witches of Bushwick.

Unless I get mass amount of requests, I rarely cover Blair’s style from Gossip Girl. I prefer the much more overstated sexy style my girl Serena traipses around in. However, there were two recent outfits Blair wore that I would actually be seen wearing in public. Our course one of them is a lacy chemise (did Blair forget the rest of her outfit?), but the other is a more conservative jacquard print dress you prepsters will enjoy. Steal both of Blair’s looks for under $100 total. You know you love me…xoxo

The Look for Less: Christian Louboutin Knot Pumps.

Among the many things on my bucket list (checked off visiting Spain & learning to surf in 2010) one of the feats is to own my very own pair of Louboutin’s one day. Yes, it is a pretty shallow, monetary feat and not one particularly life-fulfilling but it’s my list so I can do what I want. I plan on accomplishing this by magically coming across a pair in a thrift store, not by paying full price for them at Bergdorf’s. But until this fairytale day arrives, I will have to settle with stealing the Louboutin look for less. Get a pair of knotted peep-toe pumps for under $50 while you wait for your magical day.

Budgetista Holiday Gift List: Unique Gifts for Him for under $100.

Last week I posted a budgetista gift list for the women in your life and this week it’s for the boys. Based on personality types, I chose some unique gifts for the guys in your life that won’t cost you more than $100 each. Of course, you can always take the other route of getting in debt and camping outside Target to buy the Kinect, but chances are it won’t mean as much to him in the long run. Plus, if he breaks up with you in the new year you can seek solace knowing you didn’t waste too much money on him.

Check out the Budgetista Gift List for Her.

THE LIST:

The music man: iKaraoke Microphone for iPhone ($32) & Concert tickets

The boy next door: Subscription to Esquire ($8) & Sirius radio (TBD)

The surfer boy: Dinner at a local Food Truck & Underwater Camera Goggles ($99)

The fitness buff: Map out a scenic hike & Sweatshirt with headphones built in ($60)

The playboy: A lump of coal & some DIY coupons for some lovin’. Hasn’t he gotten enough already?

Shopping Review: Budgetista Adventures at Nordstrom Rack.

In the name of fashion “research” I decided to scope out the new Nordstrom Rack in Boca last night to check out the deals. I don’t know if I am on shopping overload or just budgeted out but I left empty handed, which rarely happens. The best brands I came across were: Theory, BCBG, Splendid, Matty M and Juicy. The shoes are really where you’ll get the best deals with designers like Kate Spade, D&G, Badgley Mischka and more.

I nearly pushed a woman out of the way when I spotted the very Badgley Mischka Anthracite heels I stalked when Jillian Harris wore them after the Bachelorette, which were sold out for months. Of course they only had them in every size but mine, but I wanted to share this amazing find with those of you who can find a pair that fit. Happy shopping!
